Our company mulches-up all the limbs and brush from the trees that we remove and/or trim. We give this mulch away FREE locally to anyone who calls and requests it. We also keep a large pile at our property in Navarre for the public to pick up at their leisure. It is a great mulch because it will break down eventually, keeping the nutrient cycle going.

This area has some of the best oak wood around. Live oak, laurel oak, water oak, turkey oak, blackjack oak, southern red oak, blue jack oak, myrtle oak, and even some white oak exist here. Hickory and pecan are also prevalent and make good smoking or firewood. We save as much of this wood as we can and convert it into firewood. Using firewood is a carbon neutral way of heating your home.

Backridge Tree Service is the only tree service in the area that has it’s own SAWMILL. With this sawmill we are able to rescue many beautiful logs from the landfill. We produce a full range of lumber products like boards, custom slabs for tables and desks, beams for timber framing, decorative bowls, rough sawn lumber and saw dust.

Our mill produces the finest wood shavings I have seen. We have an abundance of this fantastic wood available. It is a great mulch and compost amendment.
